Wondering if anyone one has the snap-on MT1460. When ever I connect it to the neg. side of the coil it stalls the car out. Not sure whats wrong, any help would be appreciated.

Negative clamp to ground, red clip to postive battery post, green clip to coil neg terminal.
Or if its a two clip device, neg to ground, the other clip to coil neg terminal.

That is what I am doing and the minute I hook it to the coil the car stalls. If I put it on and try to start the car it will not start. What could be wrong.

Bad machine?
Instruction book?
There's one on ebay for $8.

I used it about 2 months ago worked fine.

The machine could be hung up in a test state, such Point Resistance Check, and grounding out the ign system.

Didnt think anyone used these things any more. I usually set poins .017-.019 and be done, when I had points.
