Can anybody out there show me a picture of the correct 69 cigarette lighter and the terminal where the wire hooks to? Mine has a brass threaded screw in type fitting on the end, and the newly installed wire harness has a female slotted type black plastic terminal. Obviously this won't slip over a round threaded stud.

As I recall I bought a repro from Ground Up. It had a round push-on connector.

Lighter should have a threaded post for the batt connection. Make sure you have the right 18ga orange lead from the harness... If you have a universal harness and the connector you have is for the lighter you can replace the lighter with one from the "Help" shelf at your local parts store and nobody would be the wiser...
