Not to sure about the tag on this car? Besides the rivets the tag does not look right but I could be wrong. Still a very nice ride.

Yup, repro tag. Not an OE JL8 car either.

Very, very nice car....but you know whenever I see these cars go for this ridiculous amount of money I get the urge to try to contact the guy who's name is on the p.o.p (if they're still alive) and see if the car they bought really had all of the options that the car is being sold with.....

This car is loaded with almost every option available! Why would the guy order a car with a cross ram intake, heat delete and then an FM stereo and power windows? To my knowledge it's pretty damn cold in the winter in Rochester, New York.

It almost like these guys convinced each other the more "rare" and "hard to find" stuff we throw into this car the more we'll get for it. Then it makes me wonder if it's a real cross ram, JL-8 car?

Protectoplate is stamped with 'BV' 4.10 rear code....

That's easy.
It's not a JL8 car.
The cross ram was a dealer or owner installed item. This car didn't have it til recently.
Heaters were required by federal law in the lower 48.

The car was mostly original but apart in 2002. It acquired the add-on stuff when in was restored.

And the color used to be 61-61, burnished brown.......

I was going to flag the car but I am more impressed that the database came into play with some history on the car. Good job!

I guess this guy used Jim's formula for his JL-8 crossram Z of Heartbeat city. The extra expense in fantasy land was incurred due to it not being a Z28!:D

The original owners address was on Long Pond Road in Rochester. My office is right on the corner of that road! The last name of Warmbrodt has a couple in the phone book but no Douglas. Small world.

Stump, call those other Warmbrodt folks anyway and ask them if they know of a Doug. you might get a number :) then find the real pedigree of the car :D

To each his own, money can't buy happiness, you can't take it with you, etc. Sure is lots of money for something you can't drive or scare people with. Just me getting old I guess. Driven mine since new, all the time in good enviroments and bad, got stuck a few times hunting frogs on dirt roads.

Yep and original rear was a BV code. Too bad they screwed up what was once a good car.

Even if it was the real deal 180k still seems crazy to me. But its cool to see the rochester address on it being from there.

Ah yes - Heinrich Chevyland. Gone, but not forgotten. Lake Ave was once an endless string of car dealers. Any that have survived have all move out to the 'burbs.

Even if it was the real deal 180k still seems crazy to me...I wonder what it would go for if it was original??
