how much boost can i put to a 98-02 ss motor w/o having to swap out parts on the bottom end parts of the motor. currently serving in okinawa and trying to figure what i need to build the car when i get home. don't to much tech about turbos so sorry if iut a bit of a noob question

the kits I've seen limit boost to about 6 psi with the stock engine and compression. A few guys pushed theirs to 8-9 psi but realize they'll likely break.

You'd be way ahead to at least swap to a forged lower compression piston.
