Looking for some help...on a/c question.

I have just bought a 69 Camaro with factory air. The cold air is blowing lightly through the two center vents but pretty strong out of one of the two plastic holes near the floor located at the base of the trans hump on the passenger side floor. These two holes are about 3 inches in diameter flush with no flanges to connect a duct hose to. Someone said there is a diffuser part that slips into these holes and distributes the air upward?

Currently, all the cold air blowing out the round plasctic hole at the base of the two hole plastic duct is falling on the floor and not helping cool the rest of the car...

Can someone confirm this diffuser part and where I get one to better distribute the cold air or suggest any alternatives to solve this situation?

thanks
Joe

Joe the AIM shows all those parts pretty nicely. Assembly Information Manual is a must have for your car. Its available at most resto catalogs or ebay. I cant find mine but Ive read thru it for my a/c info. I had mine all apart and there is a difuser inside there. but there are also a bunch of elbows and connections that could have come apart too. Maybe time to rip the underside of the dash apart, check wiring, lube cables and tighten up all those a/c connections. :)
