Ok I've asked this before but now I've gotten a hinge from the dealer that he claims is correct....

One has K with three circles
Other has K with more circles....

any educated guesses?

ok so this is on the car

The installed hinge is OE and the reason I suggest this is because mine have slotted holes on both, not on just the front hole as in the gray one.

Check the date code on the box/bag. Should be a four digit number, first two digits are year, second pair of digits is the week number of the year.

Thanks guys... I was sure mine were original... just painted wrong.. when a judge at the Nationals in Carlisle started ragging on me about my incorrect hinges and I should get orignals not repros and I was a bit stunned but started wondering and so on ... and here I am wasting your time and that of my dealer etc.

I was at a show yesterday. One guy I know had his 2 Z/28's there. He claims each is original. The Norwood car has the K with three circles. The LA car has the K with smaller grooves like the second picture.

For some reason my camera wont get a clear shot up close, after 7 pics this is the best, using macro or zoom didnt help but all 4 large pins on my LA built hinges are K with a single circle indent near the outside edge of the pin. Just an FYI

Another mystery solved... Norwood and Los hinges differ! Could be fun to play with the experts on this one..

ps I have a Norwood car and have the three circles
