On a 68 RS with 327 / 275hp, would the oil filler tube be black or chrome? If black, what color black?

Did the factory paint the heater hose fittings on the manifold and water pump or were they left aluminum / steel color?

What color were the engine lift brackets?

The oil fill tube is black, I believe semi-gloss (ie. 60% gloss). (Chrome would have been part of the SS dress-up).
...off the top of my head, ...I can't remember if the heater hose fittings were painted or not...:o
...the engine lift brackets are painted orange.

The heater hose fittings in the intake manifold and water pump were installed at the car assembly plants - they're zinc-plated, no orange paint. :thumbsup:
