topic came up with a friend of mine whose dad has a 1997 z28 camaro with an ls1 engine. He said the gas is killing him and he wants to get rid of it for 10 grand. This seems pretty high to me. Well unless he did some heavy transplant work that '97 has an LT1 not an LS1 in it. If that '97 was completely restored, paint and interior nice and was properly modded to make a bit more power, maybe! The other way is a '97 Z28 would have to have about 20k miles or less and be in mint stock condition to bring $10k right now. A '97 SS in real good shape and a bit more miles might bring $10k, might!

A typical 80k mile plus '96 or '97 Z that's has road chipped paint and a weathered interior but runs decent and has new tires on it might bring $6k plus or minus...
