i have 5 spring multileafs on my car and i dont like the gap between the bottom pad and shock mount.
can i remove the bottom pad? will i notice any difference in ride?

Is it the real thin pad under the springs or the thick bottom leaf? If it's the thick leaf , That is your overload leaf. It takes all the weight. If it's the thin spacer. It wont hurt to remove it unless it's a caster shim for the rear drive line angle

Im talking about the poly pads, the one above and below the springs, the one im talking about removing is the one between the springs and lower shock mount

Guys more commonly leave the top one out, but I couldn't tell you why. If you search "leaf spring pad" you'll get a bunch of info to weed through, including David Pozzi saying that the pads aren't really necessary top or bottom. David's opinion woul be good enough for me.

I just went thru this....and I lubed the pads, the bolts....and by the time I got the Bolts to speck torque, the pltes were tight. I would say with this set up there is NO chance of movement.....
