Hello from Edmonton. I've raced at your track a few years ago when there wasn't a hole lot of shut down area. I hear they have done some improvements in the last couple years.
When I did race there it was a heads up class and I qualifed 2nd, 2 tenths slower then the #1 guy so when we met up in the finals I had removed my exhaust trying to pick up a bit and make it a close race. By the time we hit the 60' mark I was 1/2 a car in front and kept pulling away the rest of the pass. He was at least a 1/2 of a second off his qualifying time.
I thought he must have broke but when I asked him later he said that's as fast as his car usually runs but on the qualifying a gopher crossed the finish line for him and he wasn't telling anyone.:)

Thanks guys. Yes, the track has improved a lot over the last few years. Next weekend we are hosting NHRA Division 6 Nationals. It will be a good race to get the hang of my new car. Here is a link to the track.
