The 1969 Camaro had a steering gear that was manufactured with only 64 degrees of pitman shaft sweep. The 1967 Chevelle steering gear has 87 degrees of sweep. If your Camaro has steering stops built into the steering arms it may not make any difference. However, if the Camaro depends upon stops being incorporated into the gear, you are going to have serious problems with your tires overtraveling and rubbing on fender wells, fender lips, etc.

I think that you would be better served by trying to find a Gen III (1982-1993) Camaro gear for your 69.

Jim, I understand. I didn,t realize that the box could overtravel with more degrees os sweep. .with the stops ,it would only turn so much. we used to put grease on the stops when we were kids.
That makes a lot of sense. Thanks for the advice
