I have a 67 Camaro with the rear shocks moved inbourd.I want to put new shocks on but the ones I have now are no longer made.They are Monroe Max High-Performance HP-4967 H 6C76.What should I do?

Anyone,PLEASE help.I'm looking for a shock that is used when you relocate your shocks on a 67 so they are both on the back-side of the axcle and pointed in toward the center of the car.They attatch to a bracket that is inbetween the frame rails .The top,of the shock is a stud,just like frott shocks,that I put the bushings and nuts on from inside the trunk.PLEASE,PLEASE,someone help.THANK YOU VERY MUCH.

If you have a good parts store that's not real busy on a saturday morning, they can find you something.
Printed catalogs from the shock manufacturers will have a section that lists various combinations of upper / lower mounts and extended / collapsed length.

You want a shock with the correct mounts, and a colapsed length slightly longer than the distance between the shock mounts when the suspension is bottomed on the rubber bumpers, you don't want it to bottom on the shock.

Thanks for the reply Jim.I was at the parts store yesterday and that is why I'm on the internet today.They could'nt help me.All they could tell me was Monroe does'nt make that shock anymore.The colapsed distance is 19 inches,and the bottom end is the one that goes on a 67 shock plate.The top end of the shock is like a front end shock.I was just hoping that someone had "been there , done that".Again THANK YOU VERY MUCH.

Oh Well,I guess nobody has any input,or nobody loves me ! I'll have to try another avenue of approch.Thanks anyway.
