hi iam monte iam a new member i turned to the net when my camaro started ginvin me problems. i have a 89 RS camaro ok i had the high output 305 t.b.i in it and blew it up so i put a 1990 350 t.b.i in it i used my t.b.i off my car and the 350 motor i put it in didnt put smog back on went to start it and as soon as i turn the key on the fuel pump kicks on and over flows the two ports on the t.b.i after a few sec it stops pumping but as soon as the car turns over a lil bit. it starts pumping way to much fuel again. after playin a lil bit i found out the car is out of time also i have not timed it yet tryin to get the fuel right any thalts to what is goin on let me know pleaz.

also want to know how hard it is to change it onver to a carb? i got an intake and holly just thalt it might b an easyer rout but tryin not to.

the 350 will take a different tune than the 305, so expect to put a new chip into the ecm...as for the fuel problem, you shouldnt ghet fuel spilling out of anywhere,ever...sounds like the fpr is leaking...(fuel pressure regulator)the fp comes on for 3 sec`s to charge the line in a throttlebody app...this allows the enging to start without cranking a bunch of times before fuel hits the injectors...you can try swapping the 2 tbi units...very easy, and should be identical except the 350 injectors are prolly bigger...also try blowing into the return line to make sure there is no restriction to the tank...could be that you pinched it putting the motor in...post back with results...
