I've never put one one a 3rd gen, but as in any type of bodywork, just locate all the factory spotwelds, and very carefully take it apart where it was put together. A spot weld cutter is a nice tool to have for this. You might try going to www.autobodystore.com (http://www.autobodystore.com) and asking some questions about this...sorry I couldn't
be of much help.

I really couldn't tell you for sure on that model car, but there should be a factory body seam somewhere along the roof and qtr panel. You will have to remove the paint to find the place it was put together. On First Gen Camaros, they used a lead body filler, so you really gotta look to be able to tell where the seam is...I'm not sure if they still use the lead though. Once you find the seam, you will have to remove the filler, then drill out the spotwelds. The panel is probably attached along the bottom as well. Most people take shears and cut most of the panel off, then go from there. You might wanna talk to someone who has done this year Camaro before, so you know exactly what to do. If it was a first gen I could help you out a little more...I'm only familiar with 69's.
