Hello all Happy New Year!
I'm looking for the tape or seal that goes between the stainless trim that holds the roof rail weatherstrip and the body. (69 Coupe) When I removed it, I found what looked like a two sided foam tape about 5/8" wide. It was too deteriorated to Identify, and nobody has anything In their catalogs that Is designed to go there. What Is considered to be the best substitute for the original stuff?
Thanks
Jim
Sorry guys! Should have done a search first. I see some others have asked the same question, but the only reply was to use foam tape door weatherstrip from Home Depot. There has got to be another solution. All I found at the Depot was a white or beige foam that looks like It would desolve If used on a car?
