I am searching for the largest wheel tire combo for my 67. I have looked through the search engine and the sticky gallery and I still can't figure out what to do. I have the Hotchkis TVS with disc brakes all around. According to a couple of wheel websites they claim I only can run 17X8's 225-40 front and 245-40 rear. I really would like to go larger in the rear without rubbing or rolling the lips.

You can run an 8" wheel up front with a 245/40/18, and a 4.75" backspace to a 5" backspace.
On the rear, I like to run a 9" wheel with a 275/40/18. A 5.25" backspace will put you in a very safe place.
What kind of brake conversion have you done. Make sure to have the wheels built around your caliper offset. Let me know, I can help you out with the process.

The brakes are from "The Right Stuff" standard single GM disk set-up. Thank you for the reply.
