Hi Folks,
Thought I'd start with you all, before I started digging in to what my problem is....
Basically... Just recently the headlights on the car are not activating for me. It appears that all other lights are fine (Braking, Turn signal, Parking, etc.) Any quick and dirty advice anyone can offer to help me get a running start to try and solve this problem would be greatly appreciated.

most likely the dimmer switch, possibly the headlight switch.

Check your negative to passenger fender ground, without it its very possible your headlights won't turn on.

Thanks guys for the great suggestions. JimM, you bring up an interesting point.... The first time this happened, I hit the high beam switch and it suddenly flipped on the high beams, then would flip to low beams.... second time it happened, the high beam switch wouldn't help my situation. The dimmer switch for the dash appears to be in working order and as I said, the parking lights seem to work fine. You guys gave me a great start and I thank you. Any more help would be greatly appreciated since I know very little about electrical.......

replace that hi beam switch on the floor board just for the heck of it anyway. Thats a bad area, your foot hits the connector alot, dirt and moisture are all over the floor area and contacts get dirty and corroded too. Its a cheap replacement item, and probably due anyway. It might be the culprit
