skeeters65 Aug 2nd, 07, 04:11 PM I was wondering what you guys think think about the CPP Big Brake conversion for the 69 Camaro??
Do you like it and how well does it work?
I got a complete price from Matt's for it at $2240.00 shipped including booster and disc spindles..
And the Baer kit for the same was $3000.00 shipped..
What do you guys recommend??

What type of Baer brake kit are you getting for $3000?

Not sure but it was 13" front and 12"? rear..
Do they have different models??
BPOS Aug 2nd, 07, 07:49 PM Lots of folk here have used the Touring Classics kit. It uses brand new PBR calipers - the same thing used on the C5 Corvette (front) and 93-97 Z/28 (rear). Baer uses the exact same calipers on some of their kits. (Not sure which Baer kit you're looking at)
Noel is as nice a guy as you will ever deal with, and excellent customer service.
What CCP big brake kit? I didn't see one on Matts site.... As foru the Touring-Classics stuff they are the same as some of the Baer, C5 and C4 front and rear. I have them on mine and very happy with them ad the service I got... Al and I are not the only ones using them.

Yes they do and the prices can vary drastically. As DjD mentioned, the Baers and Touring Classic kits are comparable in price if you know where to shop. These two kits, along with Wilwoods, have been used by many members here with excellent results.

skeeters65 Aug 3rd, 07, 05:31 AM Frank,
Does that price include spindles for the front?
Thanks

It includes new hubs, no spindles required. It uses your originals.
garymac69 Aug 7th, 07, 10:32 AM I have the 13" CPP kit on the front of my '69. I already had a disc rear conversion. The CPP kit works good, and most important for me, it did not offset the wheels from the factory front disc setup. (I already had 18" x 9" wheels on the front). Only minor problem I had was that I had to put a shim on each caliper to get it aligned parallel to the rotor. The kit also worked well with my existing 1" manual master.

i think they move your wheel out if you have drum brakes to start with, otherwise, it's about the same with replacing stock style discs.
quikchevy Aug 23rd, 07, 11:05 PM Hello, the Baer kit we quoted includes a new Booster/Master/Prop kit and a complete bumper to bumper hardline kit!
Dennis, when did this turn into a "plug" forum? I know anytime I even come close to "Advertising" I hear about it!!
Thanks
