Please help !! I cant figure this out. I have a 1969 Camaro, I used a painless wiring harness under the hood. If the ingition switch is in the on position the wipers come on even if the wiper switch is in the off position. I tried a different switch and a different motor and got the same results both times. The yellow wire has 12 volts to it as soon as the key is turned on even if the switch is off. Im not sure if its suppose to. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanx, mark

The wiper/washer has power anytime the key is in on position, it works by grounding wires at wiper switch.

Most likely the washer pump is keeping them on. When the washer pump is engaged, the wipers will continue to wipe reguardless of wiper switch position till the washer is finished. See this post
