I parked my 68 Camaro in my garage 8 months ago now when I turn the key, nothing. The battery is charged and I'm getting power in the fuse block, gauges, directionals ect. Is there an ignition fuse somewhere? I tried the old screwdriver across the starter, nothing. Am I missing something stupid.
I would appreciate any advice.

If your jumping at the solenoid and it wont crank, You have a couple possibilities. First, bad cable i.e coroded/ connection, or worst case #2 your starter died.

Check that you have power to the main lug on the solenoid. Should be consistant with battery voltage. If some variation, then the cable is suspect. If no change in voltage, then time to rip out the wrench and pull the starter and take it to Kragens or autozone for a bench test and see if its dead. You know where to go if thats the case and deepest sympathies.

How sure are you that the battery is charged? What does the dome light do when you try to start it?
