:waving:How do I find out what color my car was when it was built and what size motor it is suppose to have? I purchased the car 18 years ago from a friend whose father owned a local body shop. It had a 350 in it and had 350 SS emblems on it. My husband and several male friends have told me that my car should have a 327 in it and that 350's didn't come out until 1968. I want to keep my car as original as possible so now they have me wondering what motor is really suppose to be in it. Can anyone help me figure this out. Love the website. Looks very informative.

Post your trim tag. The options are listed on the 67 tags. In 67, the 350 was introduced in the SS camaro.

Marcia welcome to Team CamAro. First off, in respect to our beloved CamAro, we spell it with the 'a' after the 'm' :) Next, the 67's are easiest of the 3 years of first generation to decode. Write down all the number off the plate thats next to the brake booster on the firewall, its called a trim tag or Cowl Tag. Those numbers will help tell you what the car was originally. Also jot down the VIN number and include that in this thread. We can go from there.

Welcome from MI :waving: Glad to see more women getting on here. I was beginning to think I am the only woman who loves these cars and is willing to do the work.

The folks here are a fountain of info. The have gotten me out of more than one pickle.
