I wanted to introduce myself and continue in my search for a long lost friend. In 1974 I lost my 1969 Orange Camero ss/rs 350 to the tornadoes that tore Huntsville and surrounding areas apart. I would have loved to have it repaired, but with Orders to Germany I took the check from State Farm and said goodby. It was on Redstone Arsenal and was very distinguishable by the black hood stripes I custom painted. Long shot I know, but thought I would take a chance.

Welcome to teAm cAmAro Bob... The CamEro is a rare and elusive vehicle. I'm sure if someone here has seen your old car they will speak up. Back in 1974 most totaled cars went to the scrap yard and were stacked with lots of others before being sent to the crusher. the Camaro and the camEro were just transportation back then...

Oh, the folks here are not to critical on spelling, well except for that one certain word. You might have figured it out by now but if not others will be sure to help you with it... :D;)

Enjoy the site and good luck with the hunt...

My mistake, Camaro it is. This particular SS was hit by a dumpster, I would hate to think it was crushed..but it could have very well been the fate. Thanks for the encouragement

Thanks Rack Man for the web site. I doubt I could find it after 33 years, but who knows, it may be with my pay stubs as a private making $173.00 a month before taxes. I will look take a look at the site. Appreciate it.

It would be pretty tough to find it after all these years but you have nothing to lose by trying. It sounds like the project car my brother has but his car was from florida. You can see some pictures of it on my web site just click the link at the bottom of this post. Good luck.

The Red Convertible is beautiful. The 69' SS looks like it will be a knockout when he has completed. I have done one concourse restoration and another that was close, lots of work, money and dedication...but the result is worth it. I am digging through my old paperwork this weekend and hoping to find a VIN#, although not likely. This site looks like a tremedous resource.
