These are expensive but they're the real deal- same carbon fiber used in the Airbus. Twice as strong as steel and VERY lightweight.

I wouldn't hesitate to buy the SS hood with louvers if it fit a 68 camaro.

Would these work with the stock hinges and latch mechanism? I assume you'd need lighter springs on the hinges.

Man, the L88 hood is nice. I wish they could make an SS hood. That would be sweet. If anyone decides to get one, I'd love to see them on a car.

How much does it weigh?

I'll weigh them tomorrow- but I think they're around 18lbs. I'll also check the frame material (I had it out and should have done everything at once...doh!). They do use stock hinges, latches, etc.

Carbon fiber is suprisingly light, my buddy has a carbon fiber hood on his supercharged BMW, and I could lift the whole hood up with 3 fingers!

Does anyone have a pic of the 67-69 version from the side? I'd like to see the rise in the cowl and know what rise options exist?

Does the hood come as finished as the pics look? In other words, no final finish needed?

Anyone know where a matching trunk lid is?
