Just thought I would share my frustration with all you guys, I have been fighting with my front sheet metal for 3 days now...keep in mind that I was a body tech for 12 years and currently run a body shop, so I"m no newbie!!!! this has to be the most frustrating car I have worked on to date....door gaps are good, but my fender to hood gaps are terrible!! way too narrow, I have the fender adjusted as far out in the rear as I can go, had to move the doors out after that..get the hood back on and bam...nothing has changed, so I have pushed, pulled, pried, and still no luck.......am I just over looking something obvious???? I would bet I am......I'm at a lose on this one......damn old cars...lol ok now I'm done......thanks for listening...errr ummm reading

The front of your hood to fender gap should be set by the header panel. Is it a repro header?repro fenders?

The front of the fender to hood is not the problem...its the rear of the fenders...its all OEM stuff....the same stuff that came off the car to make things even worse.....shoud be a no brainer.....

Is it tight to the cowl panel?Did you put shims behind the upper tab on the fenders in the door jamb?My car has 3-4 per side there.

I have it close now.......just one of those things I needed to walk away from for a bit I guess.....just walked back out after about 15 minutes it was right where it needed to be..........thought I was loosing my touch there for a bit!.....
