View Full Version : Thermal Fan Clutch
GAccomando Aug 9th, 07, 03:42 PM I am trying to buy the fan for the thermal clutch, but none of the major car parts store have them in my area, except in the flex style. I believe the correct on for a 67 Camaro 350 is a 18" 5 blade. Can anyone help me to locate a place I can purchase one. Thanks :beers:
Start with the sites sponsor (see links on every page of the site) , next try Year One, Classic Ind, Ricks, NPD, Steves, Matts, or RPS... Every one carrys them or can get them. If you don't care about having a real factory look there is Summit and Jegs too...
68zproject Aug 9th, 07, 08:31 PM I looked on Steve's and he had them. Don't know if it's the right one, but I'm going to find out. Thanks Dennis.
GAccomando Aug 9th, 07, 08:34 PM Jegs and Summit don't sell them, at least not on line or in there catalog. I'll check the sponsors. I thanks you both for the quick responses. I'll keep looking till I find one.
Brian Lewis Aug 9th, 07, 09:07 PM If you are not going for originality you can use a FlexaLite 5718 18" Fan Blade available from Summit/Jegs, its not a Flex Fan... Its a fixed blade fan, I use it on both my 69 Camaro and my 63 Nova
Jegs and Summit don't sell them, at least not on line or in there catalog. I'll check the sponsors. I thanks you both for the quick responses. I'll keep looking till I find one.
Well I must have gotten the last one from summit... Not! the do both sell several fans and clutch combos... Like I said if you are not worried about looking completely orig they have them and the price is right...
GAccomando Aug 9th, 07, 10:29 PM I looked in Jegs and Sumitt, but I don't see any that will fit with the clutch, they are just regular steel blade fans, but I'vd had some over heating problems, so I put a long pump, aluminum radiator, threw out the flex fan.
GAccomando Aug 9th, 07, 10:36 PM Thanks for all the help, I did find it on Flexalite fan for the clutch. Guess I wasn't lookin in the right place. My Camaro's thanks you all for helping keep her cool in the summer. It was 5718 model for future ref.
