Hey gang,
Here's the latest view of my last 3 nights of work. I installed the Autometer gauge pod for the 69 console and added 4 gauges. I installed Oil/Water/Volts/Vacuum. I used the Sport-Comp series electrical gauges. This keeps hot oil out, and also makes the install cleaner as the wires are easy to hide and integrate into the cars electrical system. This series matches the 2 5/8 tach as well, so the look is consistent. I used the green light booties, so all gauge lights match the original panel pretty closely. The hook up was simple, as there are 2 tabs on the fuse block;one for lights, and one for "ON" feed. I did not have to cut any wires on the original harness. Taking a suggestion from JimM, I ran the 3 wires (Oil/Water/Tach)/1 plastic line through the speedo grommet, plenty of room and in the perfect place.

As far as a harness, I know a harness is available, but not knowing exactly what it consisted of, I built my own sitting at the kitchen table and watching the ball game. I used crimp connectors and looped the grounds/lights/12v feeds all together, and then ran all wires, into a connector assembly, then wired to the panel and the senders. The oil sender does not fit under the distributor or manifold, but a short 1/8" brass nipple and a 45* fitting and all was well. It essentially points at the driver and has plenty of clearance. The temp sender is installed in the factory location;drivers side head. The vacuum line, since I run manifold vacuum (Thanks JohnZ), runs behind the intake and T's into the vacuum advance line. It all looks pretty clean and upon an initial inspection, you can't tell any difference to a stock look.

Tach install was simple, and I used the classic band clamp approach. You can also screw the bracket to the top of the column or move the tach lower and to the left, although it will rotate if you use the lock out mechanism.(I do). I may change this, but we'll see.

One note...the gauge pod fits pretty good, but the re-pro console requires some filing under the pod in order for the pod screws and locator's to fit properly. In the end, it all worked real nice.

That's pretty much it.....take a look at the before and after pic's.
