Hello, I've installed a RTR msd distributor in my 68 BB and now it seems my battery keeps going dead. I replaced it thinking its 4 years old so after installing the new battery I went for a long drive. Went to start the car the next day and dead battery. Not even the dome light came on. The problem did'nt exsist prior to installing the msd dist. I'm at a lost. Any sugesstions?

Sorry to be lazy...this question has been asked so many times my arthritis flares up just thinking about posting the answer. There is a simple way to troubleshoot a battery drain using a test lamp. Here is a search of this site for "battery drain" that turned up 211 posts. http://www.camaros.net/forums/search.php?searchid=1470675

I know how to test for battery drain. I was wondering if the new dist could be the cause.

test for a drain if it is there. disconnect your new dizzy and see if drain is still there. no drain than theres your problem.still drain pull each fuse at a time but got to have doors closed to check it since lights with doors open will light up light more.
