I just watched a pair of NOS door weatherstips on e-bay sell for $$$$ 2550.00. I hope they fit right.

I think Its crazy as well.....but If I was restoring a COPO that would fetch $300,000 I would spend the money....Those levels of restorations require the use of all NOS parts!

I'm not trying to come across as 'all that', but I make it a practice not to pass judgement on how other people choose to spend their own money. I am also highly in favor of people staying out of my business. Unless you are a really good friend and the door has been opened previously, don't EVER ask me what I paid for an item - car part or otherwise. First of all, it's none of your businss and second of all what difference does it make? If someone paid $2250 for NOS weatherstripping, that says there was someone else willing to spend $2249. Sure, sometimes the guys with deep pockets drive up prices on NOS and good used parts for the rest of us, but sooner or later the high prices tend to bring out a rash of sellers all trying to jump on the bandwagon while the prices are hot. Sooner or later, the market gets saturated and the prices start to get realistic again.

There are a lot of non-Camaro lovers who already think we're nuts for spending 5-10-20K or more for a 40 year old car with a 'blue-book' value of about $200. Why you could get two brand new KIA's for that kind of money!!:)
