A good friend of mine has/had a 86 Iroc Z, 305, 5 speed and only 60k miles. Was hit a few months ago by a drunk driver, who ran and was eventually caught. Before the wreck, the car was immaculate and a one owner car.

Long and short car was hit in the drivers door so hard it bent the whole car. My buddy was cut and bruised, but no perm damage to him or his son.

Of course, the insurance company is trying to screw him, and say that the car is only worth $1,200.00!

So, all that to say, ask what a 86 IROC, clean #1 car is worth, and any data to back that up (recent sales etc). In an ebay search, 85-87 Iroc's, completed auctions, I see everything from 1,200 for beaters to 12,000 for #1 cars. Any ideas? Oh, and KBB shows only $1,800!

Thanks,

Rich

They already know that, they have access to all of those sites they're just low balling. When my 96 Jeep Cherokee Sport 4 wheel drive was totalled they offered me half of what it was worth. It came from the factory fully optioned and I had to prove to them that the options were all factory and therefore it was worth more money. They finally agreed but it took awhile and alot of phone calls going back and forth, I really think they just got tired of me calling all the time and paid me off to shut me up.
