I just clean a load of caulking or body filler out of my drip rails. The metal underneath looks good. I see a seam where the roof meets the roof rail in the gutter. Is this not factory? How have people been preping the inside of the rail? Filler, Paint , caulking? It would be great to get some input gang.

This is factory set-up. Scuff sheet metal with a Scotchbrite pad, clean with alcohol, wipe it on wet, dry it off wet. Fill drip rail with body seam filler as originally seen before starting this job.
If the previous body seam filler has been working for this many years, why change a good thing?
