It's a plain jane 69 Camaro coupe. I believe it came factory as a 4 speed but now it's been converted to an automatic.

It needs rockers, it needs paint and the header panel has a dent in it. Not 100% sure on how much rust it has but it does have some rust.

It has black buckets and a center console. The door panels are shot and the crash pad was busted off. The headliner also needs replaced.

The car has a 350 engine with headers but the heads were left off to allow moisture to enter so now the cylinders are rusty and the engine needs rebuilt.

The TH350 tranny is missing 2nd gear, all others work fine.

Not sure if it has a 10 or 12 bolt, I do know it has drum brakes all the way around.

The car has been sitting the last 10 years un ran. Before than it sat 6 years before my friend fixed the engine, then drove it for 2 weeks before it blew a head gasket. That's why the heads were removed.

Just wondering what this car is worth?

Not real sure about the rust, it is an Indiana car if that says anything.

I know the rockers need replaced, and it needs paint (obviously).

Not sure about the quarters, or the underbody.

5K would be generous from what I'm seeing.

$2500-$4,500 "depending" upon how solid the floorpans, frame rails, trunk, etc, etc are.

I think an offer of $2,500.00 and you haul it off is generous. That car is going to need major surgery and it won't be cheap. Your looking at a bunch of money just to make it driveable. Might be worth more as parts?

What parts are you gonna buy and reuse????? I don't see anything there I would think about putting on the car I'm restoring. Now if I didn't have a Camaro at all... That would be a completely different story. As for price are you buying or selling?? If it doesn't need all of the sheetmetal from the firewall backmaybe $2500. if it needs floors and trunk and quarters then maybe $1000. That driveline will have to be rebuilt, engine and trans brakes and brake lines. Probably in better shape than what I started with in 1984 for $550.

Well to tell you the truth (and it's a sad story)....

The guy that owns this car was given this car by his dad in '89 before we could drive. His dad bought it for $600 in the 80's with a blown engine, and stole an engine from a 76 Monte Carlo to keep it alive.

The guy is 28, still lives with parents and doesn't want to work, and has had numerous offers to sell it but he won't because he is afraid he'll not get another one. (most likely true)

HOWEVER this guy is a country boy and would rather have his truck (old 78 Silverado 4X4, rusty) than this Camaro. He said if someone offered him $5k he might sell, or he'd trade for a 58 Impala.

When he said $5k we all laughed and thought he was crazy, but as I got to thinking about it, I am aware 69 camaros are by far the most expensive Camaro out there (at least so it seems to me) so that's why I thought I'd ask here.

I'd still like to have it, just not sure I'm willing to give him $5k for it, then again for al I know maybe he's watched Barrett-Jackson and upped the price to $8k.
