Can someone tell me what the difference in the original type rear wheel well molding for '67 and '68 is ? I want to put this molding on my '68. As far as I can tell, my car never had any on it. I see that there is quite a large price difference between the two model years ('68 costs more). I thought that the quarter panels were the same except for the side marker light hole on the '68.

My catalogs show that both models use the same front moldings, so I would think that the appearance of the rear '67 and '68 moldings would be similar. Thanks, Ron.

Ron, I do not know about wheel well molding, but when you paid quarter there are the same for the 67 and 68. Then you have to punch out for the side running light. So to me if the quarter are the same then the wheel wells should be. Have a great day Jerry

Jerry, thanks for the reply. I have bought 90 percent quarters from Goodmark, and I'm in the process of installing them. They already have the side marker light hole punched out in them. There is a seperate part number for the '67 quarter panel. I can't see any difference in the wheel openings either. Thanks, Ron.

The 68 RS molding is shorter in the front of the rear opening moldings

Thanks Panther. I read the earlier posts about the wheel well trim needing to be shorter because of the 3 pc RS trim on the fenders, doors, and quarters, but I'm not going to use the RS trim. I may use the thin chrome strip that was used on the rockers on standard models.

On standard (non-RS) cars, what's the difference in the '67 & '68 rear wheel well molding ? Thanks, Ron.

I think this is the post that you are referring to about the front moldings.
