Hi all, I have searched and read through a lot of related postings, but I haven't found something on point. I am getting ready to paint my hood (w/2 inch cowl) and am wondering what is the best way to get into all of the various openings etc. between the skin and the inner support on the underside of the hood. I am worried that it is going to look bad if I have just a bunch of overspray from those openings on the inner skin. It is a new repro hood and is coated black all around. I am thinking to paint the hood top and bottom the body color (green) so that would look pretty bad. I guess I could instead go with a 'correct' approach and paint the underside black, which would prevent some of these problems, but then I am not sure where, in particular around the cowl opening, to start with the color.
Would anyone happen to have a picture of how the underside of a cowl hood is supposed to look when painted?
Sorry for the rambling post!
