Hey guys, its time for the new fenders, hood, valence, ect. to be put on. I know its going to take a lot of tweaking to get the repro stuff to fit. Im just wondering if its better to align the front sheetmetal with the engine in or with it out? Would the weight of the engine affect how the panels hang? Has any ever aligned the subframe with the engine on it? Thanks

I just took my 69 400 to have it painted today (see pics in my signature). It is less engine and tranny. I see no problem with alignment. If it was an issue my painter I'm sure would say so.

if you had the front subframe off of body. got to get it aligned it first.theres holes there to align it to body first than hang fenders and all. on repo parts my experience left front is off more than right front quarter.right by the window and cowl
