I am going through the test fitting phase on my 69 (feels good to get to this point). I'm having a problem where the bottom of the 1/4 panel should slide b/w the 1/4 stiffiner and the rocker panel. Should i trim the bottom of the 1/4 so once i have pushed the 1/4 as far as it goes it is flush with the rocker.

make sure you have the doors on the car at this time, use clamps and screws to align the panel it will bow in the middle to hopfully fit?

just like other post. make sure door is on before welding in place. also thing to make sure.where it gets welded to inner frame for the back side glass measure from other side. the repo on left is usually farther away from body and your back side glass wont sit near the felt. on the right of car a repo quarter fits to tight on window.double check and quad check before welding in place. tack it in few spots and check again.

You need to clamp the quarter at the front, or screw it down. This will pull it in flush with the rocker. Yes, the quarter and rockers should be flush. As was mentioned, definitely a good idea to install the door before nailing it all in.

Ok here's what i did. i cut a notch in the quarter and it fits flush to the rocker panel.
