I'm finishing up my 69 build. I installed a "new" Muncie trans and planned on using the old yoke. The old yoke has some minor pitting on it, it's not too deep, mostly just like a rough finish. My question is: does the O.D. of the yoke have to have a perfect finish to have a good seal against the trans rear seal? Or is the trans seal capable of sealing against a not perfect surface?
Would it be adviseable to sand the surface to get it smooth?
Thanks
