HAS ANYONE TRIED THESE WHILE DRAG RACING? I CALLED JEGS THEY TOLD ME THEY WERE JUST LIKE THE WELD WHEELS I FIGURED SINCE THEY WERE $70 CHEAPER PER WHEEL I WOULD GO WITH THEM, WRONG IDEA!!! THEY ARENT ANYTHING LIKE THE WELD WHEEL I PUT THEM ON AND USED THE ACORN STYLE CONICAL LUG NUT AND ON THE SECOND PASS IT SHEERED EVERY LUG STUD OFF THE DRIVERS SIDE REAR CAUSING MINOR QUARTER PANEL DAMAGE. OOH I AM STEAMED!! THEY TOLD ME THEY WOULD WORK JUST FINE WHILE DRAG RACING AND RECOMMENDED THE LUG NUTS I WAS USING. WHAT THE HE**!

Ever heard the saying "You get what you pay for?" Whenever I think about doing something like that to save a few bucks I remind myself of situations like that!

They are 15x10 7/16 stud, the same size stud I have ran for over 10 years. They didnt say anything "they couldnt do anything about it" Anyway it didnt hurt the wheels so if someone would like to buy them $150 + shipping

How would the weld wheels have acted any different? Do they somehow support the wheel stud in a different manor?
I would think if the stud that failed it would have happened regardless of wheel type. Could you explain that to me? I'm not disagreeing, I'm just trying to understand.

Weld wheels use the long shanked lug nuts, the Jegs wheels are countersank so you have to use a stock style acorn lug nut, So you have 2 angle meeting eachother and apparently didnt match up correctly and when the car hooked the wheel moved just enough then boom. I wouldnt be so upset if Jegs hadnt told me they would work and also recommended me the lug nut to use as well.

Nice of you to offer your wheels up for sale knowing you feel they caused your problem...

Not for Drag racing, They are (I am assuming) Street wheels. They could be drilled to work for drag racing I just dont want to mess with it, I wouldnt sell them to someone thinking they would drag race with them.

As I stated in my post above, I asked the sales person and talked to a tech person at JEGS and they stated they would be fine gave me the numbers for the lug nuts and I ordered them, its not the wheels that caused the problem I dont think, I think it was the lug nuts.
