Hello Team Camaro . I would like to repaint my camaro that has a bc/cc on it . Keeping it the same color would i have to reprime and then spray the base coat. Or sand the cear and spray the base?
Also why is the PPG clear so thick does it need to be thin down, omni clear sprays nice.Any info will help thanks Ray.

The big question is do you know how the car was prepped before the current bc/cc?
It would be a shame to paint over what's there to find out in a year or two that what's under the base has turned loose!
Then again, if it was taken down to metal and done right last time, you can probably get away with sanding to base & reshooting bc/cc.
Also, check out SPI's clears http://www.southernpolyurethanes.com/homepage.htm they are as good as any & much better priced! Their Universal Clear is super easy to shoot and a favorite among SPI users.
