Someone in a local classifieds paper has posted an add for a Rear Window Louver for a 68 Camaro. I have never seen such a part available anywhere and was wondering if anyone knows if this was an option or has seen these before on first-gen. camaros. If so, any pictures? I'd be curious to see how it looks. These type of rear window louvers always looked real good on the 69 & 70 Mustang Fastbacks but hard to imagine on the first gen Camaros. Possibly could be cool...
Thank you,

They were not an option, but maybe someone made aftermarket ones back in the day.

J. C. Whitney carried them I think. I think I saw a set on the ugliest Camaro I have ever seen. The louvers diidn't go well with the contenental spare tire and the continental nose.

many, many, MANY years ago, I used to have them on my car when I drove it in High School.
here's a few pix of what they looked like:
(have since sold them on eBay, bidding did fairly well...)

Well ask and I shall receive. Thanks all for responding to my questions. I have to agree with most that they do not look right. I think that on the Mustang Fastbacks these types of louvers are an improvement cause they hide that humungous ugly window but on the Camaros they look out of place since the window is smaller and not as slanted. Interesting to see the pictures of your car from "back in the day" and I do like the side-pipes.
