I'm considering the sale of my RS/SS '68. The car is restored nicely. It is loaded and fully documented with GM Canada. Something like 25-27 options. Plenty of history on the car and even an appraisal from '87. Ash Gold with black top and interior. Warranty block and original trans. Any ideas on the value? Thanks.

I agree. More info. Your subject is L-78 rag... is it an L-78 Vert? You dont mention that in your description. If so..NICE car!! Especially with docs. More info than "restored nicely" would help everyone come up with a more accurate number.

Thanks for the offer but hope you'll understand if I decline. Yes it is a vert, I usually call them rags, sorry for the lack of clarity. The restored nicely means the car looks great and has great paint but was not done exclusively with nos parts. Weatherstrip and interior as well as some other things are repop. The car has the following options as well as some others: P/S, P/B, P/T, P/W,AM/FM Stereo, Deluxe interior, Head rest seats, Deluxe belts, Console and gauges, Posi, RS/SS, L-78, M21 etc. Great car needing very little. It needs correct leaf springs because the ride height is not correct. I'm ordering springs from McHenry Classic Parts on Monday. The block is a '71 dated warranty block. It is a 4 bolt block and is believed to be THE replacement for this car. No way to prove though. Most of the hard parts are correct for this car. Pretty rare Camaro especially with docs. I don't have a real good feel for pricing the car and that's why I'm posting here. Thanks for the input. Oh, I do think it's worth more than the '87 appraisal.

If this is the Phil I think it is...I'm sure that this car is beautiful and done right.

Phil, if you want to...send some pics to me at Xplantdad@aol.com and I can post them for you.

BTW, I loved seeing your Chevelle "rag" at SCR9 :thumbsup: (especially going down the strip against Dave...with his "rag")

I have video of it, you know :)

Hi Bruce, I didn't know there was a video of my thrashing of Dave. I'd love to see it some time. Seriously that was a blast. Charley stayed after me to go and I'm gald I did. I'll get some pics of the Camaro and forward them.
Thanks,

Just keep in mind when looking at the pics... Phil is already aware of the ride height issue...

Here are the pics. Phil apologizes that some are a bit dark :beers:

Thanks Bruce, I really enjoyed that video. That was the first time I raced the car and the time reflected that. All my runs after that one were in the 13s. Somebody bet Charley that neither car would make 13s. Great fun!

Did you ever put a number on the car? Or sell it? Just curious...beautiful car.

Thanks Craig, I haven't sold it and haven't even priced it yet. I'm waiting on a car I bought to replace it. When I take possession I'll then attempt to price the car. There are so few documented that there's really no market price to follow.
