Pulled my Lakewood and Tko, going to another block. I will dial in . I am measuring trans front brg retainer hub and Lakewood opening. Tk0 = 4.658 , Lakewood = 4.667. Differance of about .009. I believe I recall the normal bell opening was 4.685??

Anyone else ever measure tko front retainer id?

OK, I know , I am boring. After 14 views I thought I would add to my previous note. I did some rechecking with a differant dial caliper, it appears I am off .012 (short side).

I remeasured and I am getting 4.675 on tko bearing retainer and 4.688 on Lakewood housing. Comments?
I will be renting the gauge tool from Gary L if its been turned in. Throw some comments out this way.

True, this is just a surgical slip on / off feel, but my concern is that there is a .011 fit between the two now and I just wonder if it would be best just to set up runout gauge and get to the closest point and call it good. Haven't heard anyone say , if the trans/ housing fit should be tight or snug, +- .002?
