Is there any reason I shouldn't run braided line to the radiator on a TH350? The stock lines look pretty poor.

Thanks!

No, but they tend to get a little pricey once you add in the cost of the fittings and braided hose.

Price is not an issue at this point. If you knew the cost to make this car's engine, drivetrain, and entire supsension all new again, it would floor you. It has floored me-that is where I am typing this from.

No reason why you shouldn't. Much cleaner installation and able to withstand the pressure's and heat better.

I spent an afternoon with a tubing bender and a flaring tool. All steel lines for less than $20. I made each line in 2 pieces with a compression union to join them. Much easier than trying to do the entire length in one piece.

I prefer Steel line. It is stronger and will last longer. Only use flex line where you need a flexible connection.

If you want it "blingy" buy it in stainless. Right stuff detailing has them prebent in either SS or mild steel.

Yes like, that but in aluminum or stainless. I wish I knew fittings better. I at some point plan on learning. Do you know which fittings you used in that 90' setup? The bottom hose will be a straight shot with no angled fitting required.

Yes JimM, My classic's underhood is all about bling. My best engine award is my most coveted award. Yes, even above the one 'best of show'.

Strick,
I used Earls -6 90* Swivel hose ends connected to a -6AN 5/16 pipe fitting for the top of the Radiator and a -6 straight Swivel hose end connected to a -6AN 5/16 pipe fitting for the bottom. The add on Trans Cooler was ordered with the -6AN fittings already attached and I just used -6 90* Swivel hose ends to attach to it. On the trans end I used the -6AN 5/16 pipe fittings and a pair of -6 45* Swivel hose ends. I used Swivel hose ends because it lets you position the hose where you want instead of twisting it around with the fitting. All of the Braided line is Earls Perform-o-flex stainless steel braided line. I built all of the lines in the car includeing the Hard fuel line from the pump to the Carb and used AN fitting's or "B" nuts.
