I am thinking about putting hotchkis drop coil springs and leaf springs on my small block(350) 69 Camaro. I have 15" rally wheels(4 1/2 inch backspace) with 235/60/15 Radial T/A's on them. Will I have any rubbing issues if I lower the car and keep these wheels/tires?
Thanks.

You should have little to no problems with your 235/60-15's if your car's rear end is fairly square, the front has a proper alignment and you have good subframe bushings. Lock to lock turning might cause the tires to scrub the frame slightly and a couple of the big hex head inner fender bolts might need to be replaced with smooth button style alan heads.

In the air, my 235/60R15 do not rub (with discs), however with stock A-arms and drums they did rub on the rear of the frame. My 9" deep dish rims in the back with 255/60R15 will definitely rub without air shocks. I am going to be replacing the wheels and tires as soon as I burn all the rubber off of the current ones (shouldn't take long). My car should be on the road in just a matter of days and I will know more about the Hotchkis suspension then.
