I have done the quarters, doors and roof in about 2 hours. The paint comes off so easily, although there are tons of yellow flakes on the ground.

I have used the razor stripper myself. It did work real well as I had at least 5 paint jobs over the metal. I did not leave any deep scratches or marks either. Probably saved hundreds of hours of sanding and/or saved using a ridiculous amount paint stripper that would have triggered an EPA alert.

Seeing that razor brought back some painful memories. I still have the scar on my trigger finger where the razor cut me. Thats not a bad job for only two hours. It took me about a week to get through all the paint on my old 68. Keep up the good work.

Nice! I never thought of using a razor blade scraper. If it works well more power to you! They make a few different types of razor scrapers...if your hand gets sore using that one you might try the folding type available at most auto parts stores. They are slightly more ergonomically correct and you can get more force behind the blade. I used to use the folding type when I was an industrial painter to remove large decals.

I did that once on a 69 Mach 1 I was painting. The car had a black two part paint job over cheapy primer I believe. I think it's a lamination problem where the top coat doesn't stick to the primer.

Wow! I'm surprized it all came off so easy! You're lucky!

And that pic looks like a computer game screenshot! smile.gif "Killer Stripper!"

On the previous Camaro, I used Aircraft Paint Stripper in the garage. I will never do that again. I was actually going to use an orbital sander, but I thought I would try the razor. It worked out, because the paint did not stick very well to the primer.

The scene with the razor brought back some bad memories of my urologist the day of my vasectomy!

Here is an "awesome" site for some "awesome" paint remover !! It's a little slow but it'll take "everything" off !!!

This product is much better than Aircraft Paint Remover and is really a "SAFE" way to remove paint. It is water based and water neutralizes it.

Wow, I never thought of that either. Looks like it works good. How many blades did you go thru? smile.gif
