This is for a 1968 327 Camaro.
I previously had all this working fine but as I put the car back together from restoration I wanted a new front yoke since mine was damaged from previous bad trans bearings. I purchased a Strange U1661 which is 1/2 longer and has a flange area which the previous yoke did not have. My driveshaft is 50" long center to center of the u-joint bearings. I have the 1310 u-joints.

I don't have the rear end back in yet otherwise I could check the clearance. I guess what I really need to know is what the driveshaft length should be for my combination of the 8.5" and M-21.

Thanks!

Somewhat. I talked to a driveshaft guy locally so I am going to check the length when I get it back together. He said there should be .75-1" clearance.
