I not sure . It has new every thing not sure you could build it for that. I know here in north west Detroit (Michigan) they bring big bucks. At classic auto dealer sales shops in our area the cheapest I seen was $29k and up. Yes a dealer would be a tad higher. I have the same car and its insured for 32K But I don't think it would sell for that.? maybe 27K Enforcer505 Aug 28th, 07, 07:27 PM doesnt look like everything is new. looks liek he just painted the parts. look at the bolts on the subframe. looks like a a good old tremclad job did it. and tried to clean it up with that. nice car but not worth 26k Mike69X66 Aug 28th, 07, 07:43 PM Does look very high for a 68. Maybe the bids are a little shady. I have my vert on there and I'll be pushing 22k. Uncle Tupelo Aug 28th, 07, 07:46 PM I wouldn't pay that much for a car with no front bumper......:) guccieng Aug 28th, 07, 08:30 PM did you see the toe-in on the rear-underneath shot? holy misalignment, batman! skar Aug 29th, 07, 07:12 AM Still a nice looking ride. We will .have to see if it comes up again. Rich-Allen Aug 29th, 07, 07:53 AM I love the color with black stripes. But when you list the new items you replaced such as these: New grad3 5 bolts for pulleys 30mm New V fan belt New Air cleaner New 20/50 Oil New 1/2" heater hoses New spark plugs ect. ect. ect. That tells me you bought the car, fresh paint, tune up and some new chrome do-dads and plan on cashing in. If I listed little things like bolts for pulleys and fan belts in my build sheet, it would take a ream of paper of 3 months to type out. As for the price, any restored 1st gen can fetch double the asking price of this car. It just depends on the buyer and the quality of resto. I wouldn't buy this car without seeing it. Rich. skar Aug 29th, 07, 08:21 AM I love the color with black stripes. I wouldn't buy this car without seeing it. Rich. I could not but any car with out seeing it 1st . (Over$1,000 anyway) Photos can lie. Bgonz 69 Aug 29th, 07, 09:35 AM Does look very high for a 68. Maybe the bids are a little shady. I have my vert on there and I'll be pushing 22k. My 68 vert just went to only 17,100 on ebay  That red 68 looks like a recent redo with wheels. Not worth near 30k in my opinion. But more power to him if he can REALLY get it. JMO of course...... bob |
