I have 15" rallys on my 67 Camaro and am trying to figure out the rim width. If you measure from outside to outside of rim it measures 8". I assumed this meant it was an 8" wide rim, however I was told by someone that it is really a 7" rim. Is this true? What points do you use to measure from to determine rim width? Also, I am trying to figure out if they are aftermarket rims or period correct. How do you tell? The only stamps I could find are on the backside of the rim that says USABC (or USADC).
Thanks

Try the sticky at the top of this forum, "wheel measurements....good info".
The first link has some good diagrams to answer your question.

It is a 7" rim, they are measured from the inside of the lips from the out side you will get another 1" or 8"

Remember that for the front, you want a front spacing like stock at 2.25" so if you want wider rims, make the back spacing deeper and hold to that 2.25" front spacing!!
You will rub the chrome lip at full droop w/ an old E-60/14 mounted on a 7" wide rim w/ 3.50" back spacing!!!
My car had 7's and 9's on it. Fenton slotted mags!
