I have a 69 camaro, the ac belt keeps coming off. I have headers, and the rear of the compressor is not mounted, only the front of the compressor is mounted.
I have the upper mount for the rear that goes to the intake. Also the bracket on the rear of the compressor that the upper mount bolts to.
The question is, how do you mount the lower part of the compressor?
It has headers. The stock bracket that is mounted to the exhaust manifold will not work.
Is there a bracket I can use to mount the lower rear of an A6 compressor with headers.
Thanks, Dale

The stock bracket will work if you cut a length of tubing to make up the difference in thickness between the OE manifold and the header flange.

Use heat-treated studs with nuts to secure the bracket instead of bolts.

You might have to go as far as getting a block of steel, or plate steel brackets and make a bracket to fit about the header tubes.

Well, I ended up usind a piece of 1.5" angle iron and attached it to the 1st and 3rd header bolt holes.
I kept the studs as short as possible, had to cut out some of the steel where the header interfered.
All seems to be working, and doesn't look bad.
Thanks, Dale

Cool fix. You might want to paint it with BBQ grill paint. Blast it or sand it to remove rust. I have painted brackets like the one you made with clear coat to leave it steel gray.
