Its pocket. I had been out testing the new rear suspension and setting the slapper bars, and ran the car pretty hard. Well a few days later the car was in the driveway and I notice it had a lean. I started measuring and the rear tires from the tire to the fender was about equal but the fronts, the right is about 1 inch higher than the left. Confused, I pulled the wheels. The right spring has rotated and the end of the spring is not in the "cup" formed in the lower a arm. Its rotated about and inch. #1, HOW in the world does this happen? and #2 is there ANY way to rotate it back and get it to drop into the proper place without poping a ball Joint and removeing the shocks? and basicly reinstalling the spring?
Any ideas would be PRIMO!
Thanks ahead of time!

I did that to ona mine three times before I got it right!
I finally had to get right under her and look up through the shock hole to see if the top pigtail was in the right spot the last time!!
So smack the spindle good w/ a 3 pound Ford Tool and be careful!!

I did the exact same thing on my front end rebuild. One of the springs wasn't fully in the cup, I discovered my error only after I assembled everything.
You probably won't like my answer... but I ended up taking out the shock, and popping the lower ball joint to get it right. I tried releasing the pressure on the front end and beating the spring over with a shot hammer, and various other tricks... ALL with no success.

Just an idea... but... what about a strap wrench ? I've never tried but worth a look.

The top of the spring is actually supposed to locate in the notch that's in the subframe. The deal in the lower arm is for water drainage.

Thanks....whats wierd...I didnt take the front apart. The springs have been in there since BEFORE I bought the car. I have never messed with the front yet (it is on the list...but not quite yet.)
BPOS...If that is the case, what other reasons would cause the front to be off an inch? I know before and after the rear spring replacement the car was level. I double checked all the heights before the first drive with the new springs in back.....
