Hello all i have come accross a 1969 dz 302 block no heads crank rods etc. Just a block. What is the easiest way to identify it and make sure it is a dz 302 thanks.

Take some photos and post of the engine stamp pad , below the alt. Casting number and dates on back of block. Also look down at the edge of the block near the oil filter, there may be some stamp numbers there, may be hard to read but with the help of some chaulk, you may get them. Not all blocks had this.

As been pointed out in the past, that they are 350 blocks, fitted with 302 parts-cranks, etc.

There is only one way to identify it as a DZ block. The pad must have an original VxxxxDZ stamped on it.
